Dinner
with “Ikan Bakar” and Seafood
On December 7, 2013, Students IML 601, group B had
organized a visit to Melaka. A total of 27 students and a lecturer has joined
the visit. In the night, a dinner was held at the “kedai Ikan Bakar Deli Muara.
Also joined in the dinner was the lecturer IML 601, En. Azmi bin Ab. Rahman and
2 bus drivers, En. Misra and En. Basir.
The dinner starts at 9 pm. Before the dinner began, En.
Azmi was Leading the prayer. Among the dinner menu was nasi lemak, ikan bakar
and seafood. The dinner finish about
10.30 pm. The purpose of this dinner was to strengthen the relationship between
students and lecturers.

TRIP TO KAMPUNG BUKU
MELAKA
On the next day, Sunday, 8 December 2013, our
trip continued to the “Kampung Buku” in Taman Botanical in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.
All the books that had been provided by the Kampung Buku were fully of
knowledge. At the same time, “Kampung Buku” was the only one that had been
builds in the Melaka. It is was officially launched by the Rt. Hon. Datuk Seri
Hj. Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam, Chief Minister of Malacca on April 2007.
There were approximately 15, 000 books in the
village that are available for reading session, reference and also for the
purchasing if the visitors interested in buying. Main purpose of the KBMM, is
to collect and catalogue books about the State of Malacca including books
written by the authors originating from the Malacca.
It is also too served as a reference and
resource centre for such books where users have the option to read and/or
purchase the books.
After the trip to the KBMM, we go for a
little 10,000 walks at the Botanical garden. We go a walk at the hanging
bridge. Although it is tiring but we had so much fun on that particular day.

TRIP TO MUSEUM
On the evening, we go
to Melaka Islamic Museum and also People’s Museum that located on Bandar Hilir.
Melaka Islamic Museum, housed in the old building of the Majlis Agama Islam
Melaka MAIM). The building is now the remains of Dutch heritage interior design
concepts adapted to scan the golden era of Islam in Malacca archipelago. The
collection on display is a replica of the earliest Qur'an, historical mosques
in Melaka, swords replica of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W, religious scriptures and
religious leaders from Malacca and Malaysia.

Three-story building
that was once the administrative office of the pejabat pentadbiran Majlis
Perbandaran Melaka Tengah (MPMT) was used as People’s Museum, kites and 3D
Gallery. People’s Museum is housed on the ground floor showcases aspects of the
development and success of the state of Malacca covers the administrative,
economic, socio-cultural and infrastructure. In Gallery Gasing at the same
floor, visitors also have the opportunity to know the different kinds of tops
on display, including the type of jantung, berembang, talar and uri.

TRIP TO UTEM
On the third day of
our trip, we were visit the Penerbit of Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka
(UTeM) that located close to UiTM Bandaraya Melaka. We arrive at 9.00 am and welcomed
by all the staff at the publication unit. We also get knowledge about how
publication being done. We also get some explanation about the publication unit
by the Director of publication unit itself which is Pn. Ruziah bt Ali. This
publication is divided by 5 units which is Unit Pra-Penerbitan/Pemasaran, Unit
Journal, Unit Module for Teaching and Learning, Unit Electronic Editor and
Public Lectures, and Creative Publishing Unit. We are been brought to each unit
and being explain about the unit. We finish our visit at 12.00 pm.

On our way back to Puncak Perdana, there was a bit problems that
have been faced by us where the bus having a problem in the middle of way. The
bus become more slowly than usual. At the same time, around 3pm our bus need to
stop for a while at the Nilai exit toll and the bus driver was told us that our
bus having some problem where have some damaged in the engine section. He told
us the timing belt was cut off and we need to stop and wait for the
maintenance. The whole of students and our lecture need wait for the repairing
the bus. While the driver was called the maintenance service and wait nearly 3
hours there. In the same time, our lecture received a news regarding the death
of our faculty lecture, Dr Sharif Saad and we was sad with this accident where
he was death in unexpected situation where he was get suddenly shocked death.
Around 6.00 pm our bus was completely repair and we get continued our way to
back to the college.
