The colour of knowledge



“The colour of knowledge.”

          On 9 November 2013 student part 4 IM224 groups 4C UITM Puncak Perdana with their lectures PN Hasnah bt Rahim have been held a program that theme “The Colour of Knowledge” at Sekolah Kebangsaan Seksyen 7 Shah Alam Selangor. This  program is organises to meet the syllabus IML553 Public Relation paper. The purpose of this program is to expose students on how to manage the program and improve their communication skills. The program was held at Sekolah Kebangsaan Seksyen 7 Shah Alam, the program start at 8:00 am until 6:00 pm. Their target audience is student year 6 because there have just finish UPSR exam and can fill their free time. Among the activities are group games, PowerPoint workshop, presentation, “Ceramah” and info race. This program is collaboration between student part 4 IM224 group 4C UITM Puncak Perdana with Sekolah Kebangsaan Seksyen 7 Shah Alam Selangor.

Drop Everything and Read (DEAR)


On 10th November 2013 in Raja Tun Uda Library (PPAS) Shah Alam, a program called Drop Everything and Read (DEAR) was held by IM2275B students (Resource Centre) under subject Literature and Reading Guidance (IMA607) by Encik Shaharom TM Sulaiman. This group of 22 students was led by Nor Izzati Ahmad Nazari as their project manager.

They had invited 20 orphans from Teratak Nur Barakah. According to Farhani Baharuddin, one of the committee members, the objective of this program is to expose children to reading from the other perspective through various fun activities such as “Explorace”, storytelling competition, coloring contest and crossword puzzle. Originally, the target audience ranged from age 5 to 12 because the content of the programs suits the children’s range of age.


The program started at 9 a.m. and ended at 12 p.m. They had the opening and the closing ceremony at the end of the program that was done by a representative from PPAS.

BIG APPLE AT PUNCAK PERDANA



On September 14th, 2013, Persatuan Mahasiswa Hadhari (PMH) Puncak Perdana has been selling big apple at Campus Puncak Perdana. The sale is in conjunction with the “Geng Penyayang Geng Kita” program that  held every Thursday at the gazebo near the mosque from 5.30 pm until 7.00 pm. As well as selling big apple, students also will be given a free brochure. Coupon activity is also provided for students. So, students can get a big apple every Thursday at as low as RM2.50 only.

"Hi Tea Perdana of UiTM Puncak Perdana"



     Faculty Information Management UITM held a Hi Tea Perdana for the students who have achieved the dean’s award at last semester. The program aims to appreciate and give encouragement to outstanding students to continue to excel in their studies.

Faculty Information Management UITM held a Hi Tea Perdana for the students who have achieved the dean’s award at last semester. The program aims to appreciate and give encouragement to outstanding students to continue to excel in their studies. A Dean awards ceremony held every semester to celebrate the student’s part 1 to 6 who has achieved the pointer 3.5 and above. The program is organized by UITM and IMSA (Information Management Student Association). Hi tea Perdana was held on November 15, 2013 at the Denai Alam Recreation Club at 3:00 pm until 5:30 pm.

"Santai Gazebo"


On the 14 November 2013, one program that calls Santai Gazebo that organized by Persatuan Mahasiswa Hadhari UITM Puncak Perdana was held one program at Kolej Jasmine UITM. This program located at block 2 and 3 at 9:00 pm until 11:00 pm. Their topic at that night is “Hiburan Dalam Islam” which will be presented by vocalist Mekanika. Persatuan Mahasiswa Hadhari UITM Puncak Perdana was invited group Mekanika consists of five boy’s students from Islamic Musician UITM Shah Alam will singing a several song. The purpose of this Santai Gazebo held not only to provide entertainment to the students but to educate students on how to entertain in the manner of Islam. In addition the Persatuan Mahasiswa Hadhari UITM Puncak Perdana also makes sales on that night.

"Academic Visit at Library University Technology PETRONAS"


 An academic visit was held on 7 November 2013, 30 student with their lecturer named Pn Norhayati bt Baba from Elektif B subjects IMA453 Academic Library Faculty Information Management  visit  library of University Technology PETRONAS. They went at 7:30 am and back to UITM at 6:30 pm. The purpose of this visit is wanted to introduce library University Technology PETRONAS, to students and give the information to student about department that have in UTP Library and how to manage the library.

“Karnival Merakyatkan Budaya Membaca”

On the 26 October 2013, 42 student elektif B together with the lecture, Encik Zaihan b.Husin make a program at Perpustakaan Awam Jempol, Negeri Sembilan. This program is under the subject IMA 653 Promotional activities in resources centre. This program is collaboration student Faculty Information Management UITM Puncak Perdana with Perpustakaan Awam Jempol, Negeri Sembilan.

This program aims to expose students to the ways how to manage the program in library  and want to student get closer with comunity.  This program theme ‘Karnival Merakyatkan budaya membaca’, their Target audiens is all kind of categories which include children, secondary and primary schools and also the parents or adults. Their make activities such as Music chair, King & Queen, Musang Berjanggut, Roda-roda Jempol, Puzzle

This program start at 8:00 am until 5:00pm and and the residents who stay near the library come to give a support. One of the student who join this program, Khairunnisa binti sulaiman (IM225) say’s this subject Should be continued because this subject give a experience to students on how to manage a program, and teach student to work together among them even them from different course, beside that  most importantly help improve the level of communication for students to deal with society.
